The A1 mini is Bambu Lab's entry point: a small open-frame bed slinger that carries the essentials of the house experience — auto calibration, a polished ecosystem, multicolor via the AMS Lite — in a minimal footprint and at a floor price. To get started in color without breaking the bank or cluttering a desk, it's one of the best options around.
At the very bottom of the A series. It's an A1 made smaller (180 mm) with a bed capped at 80 °C. Open frame: PLA/PETG/TPU, no ABS/ASA.

A1 mini vs A1
The difference comes down to two things: size (180 mm vs 256 mm) and bed (80 °C vs 100 °C). For ~$100 more, the A1 offers noticeably more volume and a hotter bed. If space and budget allow, the plain A1 is often the better buy; the mini makes sense for very small spaces or the tightest budget.
Who's it for?
