The A2L is Bambu's largest bed slinger, launched on June 1, 2026. It's not an A1 replacement but a new "extra large" category: an open-frame machine with a very large volume, built to print big in PLA/PETG, with a first-of-its-kind vibration compensation and a cutting/plotting module as a bonus.
At the top of the A series for volume, but still open frame: PLA/PETG and non-engineering materials. For ABS/ASA and composites, you need an enclosed machine (P1S and up).
In brief
The A2L offers ~105% more volume than a 256 mm machine while keeping A-series simplicity. Bed capped at 80 °C, no laser, but an adaptive vibration compensation (corrects during the print) and a cutting + pen accessory. Budget ≈ $469 alone, ≈ $569 as a Combo with the AMS Lite.

The large open format
The A2L answers a specific demand: printing big parts in one piece (cosplay, props, large decor) without stepping up to a costly enclosed CoreXY. Its 80 °C bed and open frame own the trade-off: it's a PLA/PETG machine, not a technical-materials printer. It debuts an adaptive vibration compensation that corrects ghosting layer by layer instead of a one-time calibration — useful on a large open structure.
Cutting & plotting
An A2L quirk: it accepts a cutting and plotting module. The blade cuts stickers, leather, fabric and paper; the pen draws. Unlike the H2D, there's no laser (open frame, no dedicated camera). It's an extra creative string to its bow, without a laser's safety constraints.
Limits
- 80 °C bed, open frame: PLA/PETG; no ABS/ASA or composites.
- Footprint: a large floor footprint for a bed slinger.
- No laser: cutting is limited to the blade and pen.
- Multicolor waste: via the AMS Lite, like any single nozzle (see the multicolor guide).
Who's it for?
